Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula (Apple Standard EULA)
This Privacy Policy describes how LensPantry ("the App," "we," "our") handles information when you use our application. LensPantry helps contact lens wearers manage replacement cycles and supplies — per-eye replacement countdowns for daily, biweekly and monthly lenses, a 90-day discard window for opened solution, a 3-month replacement clock for the lens case (per FDA guidance), printed expiry tracking for sealed boxes, and an estimated restock forecast.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to all users of the LensPantry iOS application.
LensPantry does not collect, share, or track any personal data on our own servers. We operate no servers at all.
Specifically:
No personal information is collected by us — We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, your prescription details, or any other personally identifiable information.
No usage analytics are collected by us — We do not collect analytics, diagnostics, crash reports, or usage statistics ourselves.
No advertising — The App contains no advertisements and no advertising SDKs.
No data is sold or shared by us — We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties.
No tracking by us — LensPantry does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
The App makes no network calls of its own at all. There is no recall lookup, no product database, no account service, no analytics endpoint — nothing. The only network-capable platform services involved are Apple's own: StoreKit (processing purchases with Apple) and iCloud/CloudKit (syncing your data inside your own Apple account, described below). No content you enter is ever transmitted to us or to any third party.
Your data (left/right eye profiles — power, base curve/diameter notes, modality, cycle start days and no-wear-day deferral counts; supply items such as lens boxes, solution bottles, lens cases and eye drops with brands, sizes, counts, opened dates and printed expiries; wear-event history; case cycle start date; wear rhythm settings; notes; photos) is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, this data syncs across your devices via Apple iCloud (CloudKit private database). Data in your iCloud private database is controlled by you and governed by Apple's privacy policy; we cannot access it.
Your eye parameters (power, BC/DIA) are used only on-device to label and count your two cycles. They never leave your device or your iCloud private database.
The App requests the following permissions only when you use the related feature:
Camera — Used for photographing lens boxes and solution bottles. Photos and video frames are processed on-device and are never uploaded.
Microphone — Used for voice entry, so you can add a supply by speaking (e.g. "Acuvue Oasys, biweekly, left eye, six pairs").
Speech Recognition — Voice input is converted to text using Apple's Speech framework. Recognition runs on-device where the device supports it; on devices without on-device speech recognition, it falls back to Apple's speech service (audio is processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy). In either case we receive nothing and store nothing on any server of ours — we operate none.
On-device OCR — Box text is read with Apple Vision, entirely on-device. OCR reads the printed text and surfaces name candidates only; it never reads dates — those are picked and confirmed by you in the entry form.
Declining any of these permissions only disables the corresponding input method; manual entry always works.
On devices with Apple Intelligence (iOS 26+), voice-transcript parsing and box-text distillation use Apple's Foundation Models framework running entirely on-device. No prompts, transcripts, images or results ever leave the device. On devices without Apple Intelligence, the App uses its built-in rule-based parser instead — the same features work, also fully on-device.
The App uses local notifications only, scheduled on your device: a lens replacement day arriving for either eye, opened solution nearing 90 days, the lens case nearing 3 months, a sealed box nearing its printed expiry, and supplies running low against your wear rhythm. No push notification service is used and no notification data leaves your device.
Optional Pro upgrades (monthly and yearly subscriptions, and a lifetime one-time purchase) are processed entirely by Apple App Store (StoreKit). We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase status is verified on-device.
The App stores a small number of app-level counters in UserDefaults (the free-tier monthly photo-scan counter and the review-prompt counter). These never leave the device.
The App uses only Apple platform services (iCloud/CloudKit, StoreKit, UserNotifications, Speech, Vision, Foundation Models, AVFoundation, CoreSpotlight, App Intents, WidgetKit). No third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or AI SDKs are included.

You can delete any supply item, wear event, or eye profile value at any time in the App. Deleting the App removes all local data. To delete iCloud-synced data, remove the App's data in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
The App is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at the URL above.
